Acceptance of these terms

By using ClassicCarClubs.uk you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.

What the site provides

ClassicCarClubs.uk is a free-to-browse directory of UK classic vehicle clubs, events and auctions. We also publish editorial articles in The Classic Chronicle, send an email newsletter, and provide enquiry forms that put would-be members in touch with clubs. Clubs can additionally pay for a Featured or Showcase listing.

Use of our content

You may browse, share and link to pages on ClassicCarClubs.uk for personal or non-commercial use, provided attribution is maintained. You may not reproduce any substantial part of the site's content, or use it to build a competing directory or dataset, without our prior written consent.

Club enquiries

The enquiry form on a club's page sends your message to that club so they can reply to you about joining. When you use it, you agree to give accurate details, to submit only your own information, and not to use the form for advertising, canvassing or anything other than a genuine membership enquiry. Any membership or other arrangement that follows is between you and the club; we make the introduction and are not a party to it, and we cannot guarantee that a club will reply.

The newsletter

You may subscribe to the newsletter only with your own email address. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect straight away. We may change how often the newsletter goes out, or stop sending it, at any time.

Paid listings

Featured and Showcase listings are paid placements for clubs. The price, duration and what is included are shown before you pay, and payment is taken by Stripe, our payment processor. A paid listing buys prominence on the site, not our endorsement. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your listing. We may decline or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or no longer describes an active club; if we remove a paid listing for any reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund you fairly for the unused period. If anything goes wrong with a paid listing, email us and we will sort it out.

Third-party organisations and links

Listings describe third-party clubs, events and auction houses, and the site links to external websites. We do not control those organisations or sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or actions. The site also carries advertising served by Google AdSense, and in future some links may be affiliate links, meaning we earn a small commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. Adverts and affiliate links are not endorsements.

Prohibited use

You agree not to misuse the site. In particular, you must not scrape or bulk-download its content, send false or automated enquiries through our forms, subscribe other people to the newsletter, interfere with the operation of the site, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its infrastructure.

Liability

We publish the site in good faith but provide it without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on information published here, from your dealings with any club or organisation listed here, or from interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Use of the site is at your own risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, this page changes and the date at the top is updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
